LAGOON! It's what FUN is!!

We ventured up to Lagoon on Friday for some good summer fun!  The kids started out on the "kiddie" rides but soon discovered that the "big kid" roller coasters were much more thrilling!!  Oh yea baby!!  AJ was barely 46 inches tall which qualified him for the bigger rides.  The two of them (Maddie and AJ) had fun riding, yelling, and laughing together.  Lane also got in on the action.  He had a hard time being left out on some of the rides so they made sure they rode rides with him too.
The picture above is taken on the big huge Ferris wheel.  The three of them loved looking down at the cars and people that looked small like toys.

While the big kids were riding with Andy, Lane and I hung out on the boats and airplanes.  He felt pretty special riding by himself.  It is pretty funny how us Moms can find such happiness in watching our kids have fun.  It is the simple things in life....watching them glide around in a old yellow boat,  ringing a bell with a smile on their face.  That is all we need!

This was the scene in the back seat after about 5 minutes of leaving Lagoon (at 11:00PM!)  The kids rode and rode until they could ride no more....because the park closed! :)  They were such fun kids.  We drove to South Salt Lake and stayed in a motel.
Saturday morning we attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house.  It was the first time the kids have seen inside a temple!  It was a worthwhile experience that they will always remember.

Another good summer weekend comes to a close.  On to the next activity....4th of July!!
