You know when the Sanpete County Fair is in town that it is sure to be a super fun weekend! We kicked it off with some quality "Mutton Bustin'! If you remember, last year Alex won this event. He still admires his 4 foot trophy! Here are the boys waiting for their ride!
Alex rode like a Champ again this year....trying to defend his title! But......
his best buddy and cousin won the trophy this year! Way to go Kevin! Alex was happy that Kevin won, now they each have a huge trophy with a SHEEP on top! Yahoo!
Lane actually changed his mind this year about riding a mutton. He watched one little boy come off the grounds with a bloody lip. That was it. Lane said he would try next year! :)
Griffin enjoyed the fair events with a hat and smile! I didn't take many photos of the different activities. But, they included.......demotion derby, carnival rides, rodeo, more carnival rides, animal barns, animal chasing, did I mention carnival rides? It was great Sanpete County fun!
On Saturday we decided to break away from the Fair for a while and hit the lake for some more boating fun. I had to post because Lane water-skied for the first time!

He was yelling at Karl to slow down the whole time. It was quite funny! But then he went a second time and enjoyed the ride much more!

These three enjoyed eating water melon and visiting about the joys of being a kid!
Next, we rode the boat over to the dam to swim. While over there we found this contraption. As we watched, they invited us over to give it a try....so, of course we joined them! It was AWESOME FUN!
1. Large pillow like thing
2. Person "A" crawls out to the end and waits.
3. Person "B" jumps off the dam onto the opposite end.
4. Person "A" is launched into the air, landing in the water!
5. Lots of laughter and cheering follow.

So the weekend comes to a close. We are exhausted. We have to get the most out of these summer weekends.

That looks like a blast! I think we should come down to the fair next year. That photo of Griffin is priceless!
