Madison has always wanted fly - not in an airplane, but like a bird! Since we couldn't give her wings, we gave her a ride in a Hot Air Balloon for her 8th birthday. Her and Andy went "up and away" while the boys and I stayed below to take photos. The balloon took off from Heber City and floated over the Midway Valley. It was an absolutely perfect day - beautiful blue skies. Madison said it was a dream come true. She was thrilled to look down on the landscape, animals, houses, and cars. It was a whole new perspective for her. She had her own camera up in the balloon and snapped some great photos. I didn't want to post them all, but here are a few - some from the ground and some from the air!
It is funny how much joy we find out of watching our kids experience new and exciting things. It is no longer about ourselves, it is all about the KIDS!

What a wonderful idea for a birthday gift. How did you ever think of that? Madison may be the most beautiful eight year old I've ever seen.
I am so glad you found my blog so I could also check yours out. I love catching up with old friends and keeping up with family. I can't believe how fast your kids have grown up. They are so cute!!
