Look at us girls showing off our double catch of the day! It was another good weekend at Ferron. Good fishin, good food, good 4-wheeler rides, good times with family, and good weather! I was able to leave Lane for a couple of hours with Grandma at the cabin. I pulled up my waders and hit the water. "Freedom!" I haven't fly fished for a couple of years. I miss it. I use to fly fish all the time with my Dad as a teenager. We went on many a trips to Montana and Colorado just to fly fish. I then married Andy and he learned to love the sport as well. Since we have three young children we are not able to travel as much to fly fish. But, who needs to? It is just as much fun in our local lakes. I'm sure this is boring those of you who have no interest in fishing, but I have to share my thoughts. It was just fun to pick up and do something I haven't done for a while - it was good therapy. Fly fishing is different than the regular "fish-from-the-bank-with cheese" fishing. It is more challenging, more exciting, and more engaging. You lose yourself in nature!
I liked AJ's facial expression in this picture. He had a big fish on his line and was laughing with excitement!

I'm impressed! You're family is just too cute for words-I love it. I think it's good for your kids to see how cool their mom is-I'm sure they are already aware!
cute pictures of all the kids. sad we missed you on saturday we were really looking forward to going up there... next year. my dad thinks you have the cutest kids ever... who could argue that? (p.s. excited for Thanksgiving, that will be fun)
That looks like so much fun!!! It is so great to spend time as a family that way. I can't believe you can all fly fish. I can't even fish at all!! I can ride a 4 -wheeler so I just spend my time doing that!! It looks like you all had a great weekend!!
Wow, I had no idea you were such an "outdoorsy" kinda girl! I am in hunters safety right now and am liking it more than I thought I would! Now I am on the hunt for the perfect pink gun :)
