Andy had to go to St. George to take some Continuing Education classes this past weekend. "St. George? Count me in!" We loaded up the kids on Thursday evening and headed out. Andy wasn't able to have near as much fun as the kids and I since he was in classes most the day. We did lots of swimming - my kids could not get enough of the water! I pretty much sat in the hot tub and watched them act crazy! Madison kept saying, "I'd be in school right now if we were home huh?" She was so pleased to miss a day of school - I think she felt kind of
rebellious :)

The weather was beautiful. We spent some time at a fun park playing on the
equipment and throwing around a football...things we can do in
Manti, but they felt more fun in St. George!

Friday night we went to "
Fiesta Fun" and played a round of
miniature golf, drove the the Go-carts, and played some
arcade games. It was some good clean family FUN! Lane was thrilled to have his own club and golfball. When he hit his ball in the hole for the first time, this was his expression! I
just happened to catch it...mouth wide open in-
ah.

This was right after I had hit my ball in the water. Andy had to reach clear in and fetch in out. As he was reaching the car keys fell out of his pocket and into the water as well. Keep in mind it was quite dark. We couldn't really see where they went. It was quite the sight to see him hanging on to the rope, reaching clear down in the water, trying not to fall in completely. He did save the day and get the keys without too much embarrassment. The kids and I just sat and giggled at him :) I was too caught up in moment and forgot to get my camera, so I missed a good photo opp.

The Go-carts are always a great way to make you feel young again. Something about a cool little car, an open track, and high speed turns! Ya gotta love it!

So, when all said and done, we had a nice little getaway. I was able to fit in some quality shopping as well. Can't forget that part. Even if I didn't do lots of buying, it is always fun to look!
