Thanksgiving Holiday 2009

A big "Thanks!" goes out to Haley, Grant, Larry, and Becky for hosting such a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.  It was simply wonderful!  We missed the family that wasn't able to join us.  We feel so lucky to be a part of such an incredible family!
Pictured above you can see the two turkeys ready to be carved.  My kids are waiting patiently!
My three were the only young kids (except for Monet who is 7 months).  This was their special kid sized table equipped with crayons and a paper table cloth to doodle on...perfect!

Shelly, Karl, and Joanne...How Thankful we were to have Karl there.

After dinner Chloe assisted the kids in making mini-gingerbread houses.  She had her hands full with Lane and Monet!

The end result was a colorful candy creation!  Way to go kiddos!  Lane was very proud.  Madison and AJ each made one as well, but the pictures were blurry. :(
Thanksgiving day ended with some quality ping-pong and Guitar Hero!  Good times!

The next day we headed out on a little adventure to Spring City.  We visited the pottery shop, an art gallery, and even stopped to enjoy an ice-cream treat!  This is my cousin, Polly, hanging out with Madison and AJ.  They (Polly and Tom) ventured clear from Santa Fe, New Mexico for the Holiday. We have played lots of board games, make extravagant paper snowflakes, had sleepovers, and done lots of giggling!  It is so fun having them here!

That night we enjoyed the lighted Christmas Parade.  Tom kept AJ warm while Lane was bundled in the nearby chair.

Now, on to the other side of the family....The Thanksgiving Holiday festivities ended on Saturday with the annal Live Nativity put on by Grandma Sandra's 14 grand kids!  What a production!  It is a fun tradition that kicks off the Christmas season. We also ate Thanksgiving dinner, watched BYU beat Utah, and made foam crafts with the kids.

The "Three Wise Men"....  Kevin, AJ, and Lane

The Shepherds abiding in their fields....  Kort and Madison

So, Thanksgiving comes to a close and Christmas celebrations arrive!  Up with the tree, Christmas music, Christmas stories, shopping,  and of coarse our famous Gingerbread houses!  That project is on for tonight!!  Wish us luck!

Your kids are adorable! I am in awe of all the things you do, not to mention you're two months away from giving birth! I missed seeing all of you on Thanksgiving...freaking in-laws.
