We had a Halloween surprise arrive at our house one day late. On Sunday evening we had Mr. Bat (see above and below) fly right into our house. I was outside and AJ came to inform me that we had a "bird" in our house. "Bird??" I thought. I walked in to be greeted by a flying object that I knew wasn't a bird. Trying to stay calm so the kids didn't freak out, I quickly yelled to Andy, "Get some fishing nets and your gloves. We have a BAT!! Hurry!!" Mr. Bat then landed on the wall. He sat there as Andy came and easily put the net over him. It was a pretty simple catch... thank goodness! The kids wanted a closer look so we put him in a jar for a little while. They were quite intrigued! He was pretty creepy!! After showing him off to Kevin, Kort, Grandma, Grandpa, and giving Uncle Karl the "heebie jeebies", we let him go outside into the black night.

Next, we have Lane. I spent money on Halloween make-up last week to paint a "black eye" on Lane. He was a cowboy so we wanted it to look like he had been kicked in the eye by a horse. Well, today he has the real thing! Man, couldn't this have happened last week?? I could have saved on some make-up! Hee Hee
We was just spinning in a circle in our living room, tripped and hit the corner of our end table. Ouch!

So, as I said...Halloween continues. Black Bats and Black-eyes!
