The kids had Parent/Teacher Conferences (no school) on Thursday and Friday, so we decided to head out for some Fall Fun! Why would we want to stay home and clean or do yard work??
We decided on a hike up Maple Canyon. First, a picnic...then the hike. Griffin was snacking on an apple, trying to gear up for the hike (too bad he doesn't have teeth). He needed some "big time" energy to ride in his backpack!
Maple Canyon is know world wide for its conglomerate cliffs. There are many rocks "cemented" together to make these large rough cliffs. I guess it is a rock climbers heaven.

I had to post this picture to prove that I took my turn packing the little guy too! It was quite a workout!

This was our view at the top of our hike. It looked out over Sanpete Valley. There were also many more Conglomerate cliffs in the distance. Very unique.

Then we headed back down. Little Lane hiked the whole way on his own two feet! We hiked for a good two hours. I bet he fell on his little bum at least 20 times. He would just giggle, get back up and keep going. I had to take this photo because it shows how dirty his bum was! It was also cute to see his little legs trekking along. He stopped to collect leaves, rocks, and sticks the entire way (the Ziplock!).

Then, on Saturday morning, Andy and I decided to get up and take a scenic bike ride. Sandra watched our kids while we went. Clint came along too. It was super fun and pretty!

wow, I seriously didn't think that is what Clint wears. I imagined a couple extra pads......not robo Clint. Looks like lots of fun!!
