Lane's Birthday Bash

Lane finally was able to have his first real birthday party.....friends, games, cake, and presents!
He chose to have a "Jungle Animal" themed party. He wanted an elephant cake, but, it also had to have a football on it. No problem!

Let the fun begin! They first created animal faces with stickers.

Then they drew animal faces on balloons and participated in some fun balloon mayhem. Three and four year olds find great joy in chasing balloons trying to keep them off the ground. They could have done this the entire party!

A simple game of "Pin the Trunk on the Elephant." Lane and I painted that awesome elephant face....no comments please!

The next activity was to decorate an animal tail that would clip to their pants in back. I thought this would take a good 10 minutes, but no, they each drew a few dots and were ready to get them clipped on! I guess leopard spots or tiger stripes were a little too much to ask. They preferred them mostly WHITE!

"TAIL" ends!

The party concluded with a high action animal/music game. The tails added a nice animal touch. And yes, I kept them in my unfinished basement. It was perfect...plenty of space and no carpet!

I didn't post any pictures of the present opening. oops!
This "Paper Jams" guitar has been one of his most favorites. It plays "Born to Be Wild" while he strums and rocks to his hearts content. This is him pulling a "cool rock move on his knees!"
He had such a fun birthday. Every kid deserves to have one day a year when the party is all about them! Celebrating Lane is not hard at all ----
Happy 4th little Buddy!
