The day finally came....The day Alex got to race his super awesome pinewood derby car!
We call it "The Quacker!" It is a silver, sleek, speedy car with a Green Head Duck painted on the top. It was the perfect Father/Son project.
The Quacker "flew" down the track to take the lead......
Go Quacker Go!
Alex would wait excitedly at the end of the track and carefully catch his award winning car! He was very proud! The Quacker never lost a race.
Alex was awarded the 1st place trophy!
Since I am a Den leader I was in charge of awards. I created these candy bar race cars for each of the scouts. Thanks Pinterest!
So The Quacker is the first of nine pinewood derby cars that Andy will be building with our three boys. Andy has some good secrets. Cant wait to see what will be created in the years to come! This Pinewood Derby stuff is a BIG DEAL! :)
