Usually Maddie is in on all of the party planning, especially when it is for herself. Not this year! We pulled off a Surprise party --- and boy was she surprised!
Andy took her out for a birthday lunch. While they were gone her friends came over and helped me decorate!

It was so fun to see her reaction. She had no idea! She has the best friends ever!
They all made T-shirts with cool designs, some with bleach and some with spray paint. I forgot to get a group shot of them in their finished products.

Finally, she got a phone! Now I can reach her when I need to. I think I wanted her to have it more than she did!

We also gave her a new softball bat bag. It is as big as her!
Gramps gave her a life-sized vinyl cutout of Jacoby Ellsbury -- her favorite Red Sox player. Can't wait to find a place for that! (Maybe in my room!)

We then took all the girls out boating, but it rained us out. We didn't get in too much water time, but the girls still had fun!
We then came back to the house for pizza and a movie. It really was a perfect day for my 12 year old!
Then on Sunday, we celebrated with Andy's family out to Palisade.

We had a giant paper airplane throwing contest. Check out Madison in this photo! She is giving her airplane launch all she's got!
There were 5 birthdays we celebrated for July! How lucky we are to have such awesome cousins!
