At the first of December I briefly mentioned to Maddie and AJ that they could have a "friend party" sometime over the Christmas break. Well... they remembered my words. Since I am a "Mother of her word" I let each of them have a Pajama Party before the New Year. Madison's party was first. She got right into the planning stage.... writing down game ideas, finding coloring pages, setting up the craft table, picking what movie to watch, and of course calling to invite all her closest friends (the limit was 5!) They had a great time...coloring, chewing bubble gum, giggling, playing games, and watching a movie. I always enjoy seeing my kids interact with their friends. They are a cute bunch of girls...

The next night was the "Boy Party!" Oh Boy!! It started off a little bit different than the girl party. The boys were running around jumping and yelling...they just couldn't contain their excitement! It was pretty cute! I quickly got out the new jars of play dough. That kept them busy for quite a while.

After play dough and some group games, they came downstairs for ice cream sundaes!

After ice cream and some quality toy playing time, they all settled down with a bowl of popcorn to watch a movie. Here they are with that "zoned" TV look.

After the movie it was time to pack it up. I had them pose for one more picture. These are their "strong manly faces!" Ya gotta love 5 year old boys!!

They are already asking me about having parties next year. Am I ready for this tradition?
