Look who's 2!!

Lane has enjoyed being the center of attention this past weekend!  He has officially turned 2!
Our first celebration took place at Roy's Pizza on Friday night.  He loved his "ball" birthday cake!
After pizza we headed back to our house to open presents.  Lane was so excited!  He couldn't believe that all the presents were just for him.  He  kept trying to pass them out to others (kind of like we do at Christmas).  We kept telling him they were for him and he'd say, "Oh tay" and sit down to open.
He loved this little monster shirt that his cousin Maia sent.  I think the monster and Lane kind of resemble each other!  Spikey blond hair, big blue eyes...what do ya think?
He then got a cool tool bench from Grandpa John and Grandma Barb.  He couldn't get enough of the electric drill.  This look of concentration was cracking us up -- he would stick out his tongue to help him focus on drilling.  Very cute!

Andy and I gave him a football uniform.  He was so pleased!  The helmet was 4 sizes too big, but that didn't stop him!  Here he is giving a "thumbs up!"

He loves when someone will actually play football with him... tackle and all!
He has wanted a scooter ever since Alex got one for Christmas.  This is the best we could find for 2 year olds.
On Sunday we celebrated with Andy's family over at Grandma Sandra's house.  Notice he is still  wearing the football outfit.  More presents, more cake, more fun!
Lane gets a kick out of the Curious George cartoons, so his 2nd cake featured George.  We were also celebrating our cousin Kevin's birthday.
Happy birthday boys!
Lane sure keeps this family going!  He is a crack up and we adore him.  I can't believe he is 2. I can't imagine what the next year has in store with this kid.  I'll keep you "posted!" :)

I love how he was passing out his presents to everyone. That's so cute. He looks cute with his monster shirt. Can't wait to see him in it in real life--in a few weeks!
