Nine year old girls!

This post is a little late in coming.  I had these pictures from Madison's birthday on my Mom's camera.  I just barely got them from her yesterday.  

For Madison's 9th birthday we took her and three friends up to our cabin for the day.  They were so cute...lots of giggling, talking, and just being "nine!'  You can visit Madison's blog for more details.  She did a fun post with more pictures.  Her blog is linked on mine titled "Miss Madison's Marvelous Life."
My mom and I helped Maddie and her friends sew these capri-cun purses.  They turned out really cute and the girls loved them.  They are made from the capri-sun drink pouches...you just sew them together into a bag, add a ribbon handle, and you're good to go!  They also decorated journals.  

We took them down fishing at the lake.  Andy managed to help every girl reel in a fish!  They had the most fun naming each fish, touching them, and giggling.  Alex was entertaining them too!  They all pulled funny faces in this one as Alex held the fish. 

I have to say that nine year old girls are lots of  fun!  I realize I have to enjoy these next few years before the teenage years hit!  yikes!
