We are trying hard to squeeze in as many cabin trips as possible before the weather changes. We spent a wonderful Labor Day up in the mountains enjoying the fresh outdoor air. This time of year is perfect up there....nice and warm during the day and then cools off just enough in the night to cozy up in the cabin by the fire! Love it!
Here Lane is making his way towards the lake. The grass and fox tail weeds were as tall as him! What a work out for a 2 year old--

AJ's big catch. He handles his fishing pole with grace....he casts, he reels, and he catches!
This was my only catch.....a grey hoodie with a blond-haired rascal inside!
By the end of the fishing, these were our "keepers." FIVE dead fish...tongues out and all....tyring hard not to smile. Something is certainly "fishy" about three of them!
We returned to the cabin for dutch oven peach cobbler. What more could we ask for?
