Life is good for a six year old boy, just ask AJ!

AJ celebrated his 6th birthday on Monday by having some friends over for a water party!

Andy set up an obstacle course around our whole backyard. There were cones to run around, hula hoops to jump through, boards to balance on, slip-in-slides to slide down, tunnels to crawl through, and lots of WATER! As they went through the course Maddie and Andy would squirt them with the hose. I didn't get many pictures because I was kind of busy. Needless to say, the boys loved it!

We then played other water games. A tug-of-war being one of them. Boys always like the chance to show how strong they are!

The giant "6" birthday cake.

Heavy, heavy hang over, thy poor head.....

His presents consisted of a dart gun, snow cone maker, games, toy airplanes, and this new bike helmet (with flames!)
We the finished up with a few more games and then let the boys have free time.

This was a version of "musical chairs" played with a sprinkler. When the sprinkler was off, move around the chairs...
When the sprinkler came on, hurry and find a chair and sit down to be sprayed!!

It was a perfect summer afternoon fit for a birthday party!

This last picture was taken last weekend. We also gave AJ (and the rest of the family) this little 4-wheeler. It was kind of a birthday present for him, but he has to share! We took it out to the lake with us and he loved riding it around making dust clouds. Like I said, "It is good to be six, just ask AJ!"

What a FUN birthday party! I'll give you a couple years, then will you come plan Jack's birthday? AJ riding that 4 wheeler is THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN!
oh yeah! and it sucks to find out that you came inches from a citation for letting a 6 year old drive that fun 4 wheeler on public lands. lol. what a bunch of hogwash!!! Looks like he had a great birthday:) Now on to 7...
Needless to say, I am just about 100% sure that a little 4-wheeler is in the future for any one of my grandsons...(Lucy and Isabel will be right there wanting theirs, too!)What a great party...I just can't stand how old these little kids are getting...I was giving Isabel grief the other day because she told me she would never leave and me and go to school and here she was school shopping...I asked her what the deal was and she very seriously said, "Well, grandma, I turned 5...I can't help it!" My point exactly..they can't help getting older but I don't have to like it!
