Gosh there hasn't been too much going on around here. I have been running short on "blog-worthy" material.
Anyway, we decided to get going on some Halloween crafts. Nothing too fancy, just fun! Last year I bought some Haunted House kits from Walmart. The kids loved decorated them so we continued the tradition this year. Here they are getting started -- not too much to look at yet.
But now LOOK! The finished products! Andy helped Madison and I helped AJ. We put Lane in front of the TV to watch Tom and Jerry so he didn't bug us!! :) Things got a little competitive between the two Haunted house teams, but we all came out as friends! It was a good activity for a Sunday evening! Here is Madsion and Andy's house...notice the cool picket fence, the glittery pathway, and the black cat. They were proud!
Their best "spooky" faces!

Now for mine and AJ's! We didn't hold back on this house....there is a witches broom by the front door, a large spider web on the right front side, and plenty of candy corns!!

We also created some lovely "glitter pumpkins." Simply take a small pumpkin, cover it in glue, and then smother with glitter. The kids loved this one! Lane helped too. We covered more than just pumpkins with glitter...the kitchen counter, the floor, and each other. But, what is a fun craft without a mess, right? We made black, red, pink, gold, blue, and white pumpkins -- spectacular!!

A couple of them are on display on our fireplace hearth!
So, there you have it. A little Halloween fun!

Hey were do you find all our ideas to keep your kids busy? You amzing!!!
Would it be possible to cover Andy's head with glue and then apply glitter to it? It would definitely improve his looks........
Thanks for all your sweet comments in response to Jack's surgery...so thoughtful of you.
I think you need to be awarded mom of the year stat! You invite glitter into your home all on account of your kids having fun...you win! you win!
I've been struggling with blog worthy material as well. I bet Hank would love to make a haunted ginger bread house, great idea. I agree with Sarah's comment...you are a better mom than I---the thoughts of Max and glitter ahhhhhhh! Not a combo I'm ready for. They are really cute though.
cute houses... i mean scary houses! looks like fun.
