Well, I am old enough to have a child in the "double digits." Yep, Madison turned 10 years old!
Her favorite food is bean burritos. So, we went out to eat at a yummy Mexican Restaurant the night before her birthday. We secretly informed the waitress that is was her birthday dinner. They brought out this sombrero and sang Happy Birthday to her, both in English and Spanish. She was giggling so hard...I loved it. She also got to enjoy a big dish of fried ice cream!
Then, on her birthday we loaded up and headed out for "Cowabunga Bay." It is a fun little water park up in Draper. We took 6 girls, AJ, Andy, and I. We had a quality Bubble Blowing contest on the way up there. This is Madison's friend Jayda working on a winning bubble.
Once we arrived, the girls hit the water immediately!
This is AJ coming out of a slide! Andy and I pretty much hung out with him while the girls did their thing. It was fun just to play and not worry about caring for Griffin (or Lane!)

Cowabunga Bay provided this awesome birthday crown for the birthday girl!
"Diving" into a birthday cupcake! We took a short break to eat pizza, drink root beer, sing, eat cupcakes, and open presents. Her presents consisted of earrings, a cute beaded watch, flip flops, a beading loom, and we gave here a Nintendo DS.

When we got back to Manti, my mom had cooked a delicious birthday dinner for all of us. What a sweetheart! My mom and dad gave Maddie this darling charm bracelet that she can add to over the years.
I sure hope the next 10 years don't go as fast as the first. I want to keep her under my wing forever! She is so dear to my heart and I enjoy every minute I spend with her. Happy 10th Maddie!

I love the picture of Andy just chillin' with the girls at the water park! My kids love Cowabunga Bay so if you ever come up again give me a call. I can't believe Maddie is 10! She is such a darling girl. Happy Birthday cutie!
